In The Beginning...
ControlMyAV.co.uk was started in January 2009, and was the brainchild of Colin Doherty (Managing Director). Colin comes from a long career working in the nightclub and entertainment industry where he was a recognised DJ, General Manager and consultant for national UK companies. He is also a very competent computer geek and home cinema buff both of which he has followed religiously since their inception. It was always his dream to have his own audio visual business and his aim was to provide affordable integrated media network installations for homeowners and commercial properties.
Quickly spreading to cover Cambridgehsire and the South East, BrihtSpark Audio Visual Services Ltd has proved very popular and the company began to provide installation support for the major retailers such as John Lewis, Tesco, Waitrose, Sony Centre and Dixons. But not content this Colin quickly identified even more areas for growth such as - aerial and satellite installation, audio & tv distribution CCTV and home automation.
With an already impressive reputation for quality and service these new services were quickly adopted by the company’s existing customers and word about ControlMyAV.co.uk & ControlMyAV.co.uk spread even further.
The Next Steps...
With regular work from private clients from the retail stores ControlMyAV.co.uk were able to move with confidence into the domestic audio visual market but they also found themselves requiring electrical installation services, computer services .
With Colin’s background Home Cinema, computers and Hi-Fi it was a relatively simple matter to add electrical installation to the company’s repertoire of expanding services, allowing the company to offer an even more comprehensive installation service.
